“When I’m behind the chair, I get lost in my work.” This is the sentiment of an artist, not just a technician. Informed by her training in interior design and high fashion, Redd brings an unpretentious, artistic sensibility to hair styling by overlaying her understanding of texture and silhouette. Her skilled, yet down to earth artistry has created award-winning styles on behalf of thousands of clients.
Redd combines the best of traditional styling with the freshest runway fashion trends of the day to provide the best in products, cuts, color and styling. Not only an expert stylist of your hair, Redd trained for seven years with Mark Garrison of Mark Garrison Salon in New York City to expertly use wigs and extensions to add spice and variety to any hair style or to create a completely new level of glamour and excitement.
Her Russian cultural roots and Israeli birth have cultivated a cosmopolitan and global flair that she brings to each custom style. With 10 years of award-winning work and innumerable satisfied customers, Redd is poised for the next big move in her career.
In 2011, her work has been featured on Good Morning America for their popular makeover segment. In 2008, Redd was the featured artist in American Salon’s “Artist of the Month” section. Her editorial work has appeared in Brides, Life and Style and More Magazine. She is a senior platform artist for SHU UEMURA Art of Hair and Kérastase Paris, and has been consistently featured at New York Fashion Week with designers Jason Wu, Phillip Lim, Monique Lhuillier, Thakoon, Rodarte, Suno, The Row, Rachel Zoe, Andy & Debb and ThreeasFOUR.
An artist in expression and humanity, Redd is a faithful supporter of supportthetrade.org, an organization that teaches the art and science of hairdressing to women around the world – especially victims of human trafficking. They offer hair & make-up instruction; train stylists in entrepreneurship and strategies for adding value to their surrounding communities. Redd’s community consciousness also extends to the brave women she meets who are battling cancer. She donates her time cutting and styling wigs for them because she wants to see everyone look and feel their best.
As Redd has often says: “the smallest change can make the biggest difference.” and she is committed to making quality changes in the lives of her personal clients and her community.
